About Us

"Most of us think that going fishing is as easy as a walk down to a lake. . . . For over 56 million Americans with disabilities, it's just not that easy."

Fishing Has No Boundaries®, Inc. (FHNB) is a non-profit 501-C3 organization whose goal is to open up the great outdoors for people with disabilities through the world of fishing. FHNB has grown into a National Organization with 23 chapters in 11 states, enabling thousands of individuals with disabilities to participate fully in this spirit lifting, morale booster, trouble free recreational activity. Continue to look for additional announcements for new chapters in new states, opening up new dreams for persons with disabilities that might not otherwise experience what you or I might just take for granted.

We believe through education, training, and the use of adaptive angling equipment, everyone is able to share in a dream come true.

Our chapter was started in 2006 by Dan and Cheryl Saldana. In 1993 they attended their first FHNB event in Hayward WI, with their disabled children who have Spinal Muscular Atrophy. When they moved to Colorado they wanted to afford the same opportunity that they had with the FHNB organization. The Colorado Springs Chapter is dedicated to serving the community by providing an opportunity to experience the great outdoors. Our membership is growing at a steady pace. With this growth, we have been able to accomplish more, and have a larger impact upon our community. We welcome you with open arms. We are always looking for community-based volunteers, so please inquire today about how you can become a part of our growing community!
